White, Pops O'Colour & Crepes!

Do you remember the last post on the KAZA LOVES DESIGN blog (Press Here To Read ) about the white on white and a punch in the nose of colour? 

Well, KAZA's new window is just that!

Simple white cloth and twine streamers, white pedestal holding the white lamp with the chartreuse and white shade (pop!) , white upholstered chair with the fabulous vintage scarf (pop!), white end table covered in white milk glass and a gorgeous nosegay of flowers (pop!), and the vintage dress form with a Thai ruffled apron (pop! pow! punch!) .

Now that we are bruised up from all the punches of colour--how easy was getting some good colour in a room without even using a drop o'paint?!

Wacky easy, Bella's....wacky easy.

Ok, now for the price list because you know how fast these babies sell out!

Vintage Danish chair:'s discounted to 20$!! ( one knows it as of 11:43am, Friday morning, but y'all

Pedestal: 40$
Lamp base: 45$ (*lampshade is a prop & not included, twas created by the uber-talented Sherry Burnett)

Now....speaking of Mother's Day (yeah, I know), how cute would you look in those ruffled aprons cooking your own Mother's Day Breakfast?? You will look so darn adorable in it, it essentially guarantees you a fabulous dinner made by the guilt ridden family. And isn't that what it's all about? ;o) a recipe to make them feel extra guilty about not getting up earlier to cook you breakfast in bed:

I'm talkin' about some crepes, Bella's!

The Best Crepes Ever 


  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • Directions

    1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and eggs. Slowly adding in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add salt and butter, mix until no lumps.
    2. Heat oiled or cooking sprayed pan (cast iron is great!) at medium-high heat. Ladle the batter onto the (approx 1/4 cup) for each crepe. Tilt the pan so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
    3. Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown & crispy. Loosen with a spatula, turn to cook the other side.  
    Filling suggestions: Nutella & Banana, Fresh Berries , Gargonzola Walnuts & Maple Syrup, Freshly sliced tomato w/oregano & provolone----C'est si bon, Bella's! C'est. Si. Bon.

Saving that recipe for another day...Mother's Day they are taking me OUT to breakfast - both kids ...9 grands - they will roll their eyes when they see us coming!! (big smile)!!
